We Bought a House!

We finally did it! We've been looking for about a year, and we have seen countless homes in a variety of locations. We've put in several offers on some of the ones that we've liked, and a few of those offers even got accepted. We actually went under contract for one earlier this spring that we decided to back out of.

The home that ended up working out for us was a short sale less than two miles away from where we currently live. We put an offer on it at the beginning of the summer, and it was accepted less than a week later. We went under contract two months later, but it felt like a freaking lifetime. We had the option to close on it just two weeks later, but the people living in the home were renters, and they wanted the full 30 days to find another place and move.

So today is the day!

If we can fund and record tomorrow (cross your fingers), then we will be able to move this weekend. We are thrilled about the way everything has worked out, and I feel so very blessed. Life couldn't be better!
